Vidura Prasangana built the Speedtest app as a Free app. This SERVICE is provided by Vidura Prasangana at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use my Service.
If you choose to use my Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that I collect is used for providing and improving the Service. I will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which are accessible at Speedtest unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
The app does not ask you for any personally identifiable information, and it has no account, sign-in, or registration of any kind. I do not operate any server that receives your data, and I do not collect, store, or sell any information about you.
Your test results — download speed, upload speed, latency, jitter, and the server you tested against — are calculated on your device and shown to you. They are not uploaded anywhere, and they are not kept after you close the app.
Measuring a connection is, by its nature, an exchange of data with a remote server. To run a test, the app connects to public internet measurement servers operated by third parties. Those servers necessarily see your device’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, along with the volume and timing of the data transferred during the test. They may use your IP address to estimate your approximate location, such as your city and internet provider, so that nearby test servers can be offered to you.
The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

The app contains no advertising, no analytics, and no crash-reporting or tracking libraries of any kind.
Permissions
The app requests only the two permissions it needs to measure a connection:
- Internet access — to exchange test data with the measurement servers.
- Network state — to see whether you are online before a test begins.
The app does not request access to your location, contacts, storage, camera, microphone, or any other personal data on your device.
Log Data
I do not collect any Log Data. The app contains no crash-reporting or diagnostics library, so no report of any kind is sent to me when an error occurs.
Please note that your device’s operating system and app store may collect crash and usage data independently of this app, according to the settings you have chosen on your device. That collection is governed by their policies, not by mine.
Cookies
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory.
This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly, and the app contains no web browser or advertising component. However, the measurement servers the app connects to may return cookies as part of an ordinary web request; these are not read, stored, or used by the app.
Service Providers
I may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:
- To facilitate our Service;
- To provide the Service on our behalf;
- To perform Service-related services; or
- To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
In the case of this app, the third parties are the operators of the measurement servers your device exchanges test data with. I want to inform users of this Service that these third parties may have access to information such as your IP address. The reason is to perform the measurement itself, which cannot be carried out without contacting a remote server. I receive no data from them, and I do not have access to any record of your tests.
Security
I value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. All connections made by the app use HTTPS. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by me. Therefore, I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Children’s Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case I discover that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information, I immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact me so that I will be able to do the necessary actions.

I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
